Semi-automatic
pouring
For a solid and constant pouring process
The semi-automatic pourTECH™ system is equipped with an electric servo drive stopper rod actuator unit, hydraulic, pneumatic, hardware and control systems.
The system operates on horizontal and vertical mold lines, and will perform as follows:
- Operator controls, the flow of molten metal from the nozzle into the mold by opening and closing the stopper. The pouring will be recorded, and next molds will be poured in the same way by repeating fuction. This is called the Teach-In mode. The PLC will repeat the cycle until a new cycle will be taught. After a pattern change a new sequence has to be taught.
- Operator will position the pouring unit with the nozzle over the pouring cup.
In case of Mg-treated iron a pneumatic driven stopper twist and plunger can be supplied.
Known as the pourTECH™ Teach-In:
The system is taught pouring by its operator. Afterwards it can repeat the same pour on its own.
Profit from semi-automatic pouring
relief for the operator
Operators can quickly do some other work during the pouring, like temperature measurement and deslagging.
constant pouring
The control system will pour every mold with the exact same pouring sequence. The process will be constant as long as there are no variations in the parameters like metal temperature, ferrostatic pressure, change in nozzle size due to slag built up ect.
possibility to upgrade
For a higher level of automation the system is designed to accommodate additional needed sensors and equipment.
Perfect solution for you?
For a profitable and efficient use of manual pouring the use case, individual requirements and production properties play a decisive role. The criteria listed below provide a rough guide to check if this automation level is the optimal solution for you. Please note that these criteria are weighted on a case-by-case basis.
